AWS EC2 Optimization for Cost Reduction
Budget: $10 – $75 USD
I currently have an AWS EC2 setup which consists of web servers, database servers, and application servers running on large (t2.medium) instances. Unfortunately, we've never performed a utilization review or scalability tests on our EC2 instances.
Here's what I expect from you:
- Assess the current resources used by servers including CPU utilization, memory usage, and storage.
- Perform utilization reviews and scalability tests to monitor the performance and resource utilization of each server.
- Based on the results, suggest an optimal configurations or possible migrations of these servers to lower-cost instances that could save costs without impacting the performance and scalability.
- Optionally, set up an ongoing monitoring system that alerts us about any possible inefficiencies.
Skill Requirement:
- Expert-level understanding of AWS EC2 instances.
- Strong knowledge in AWS cost optimization.
- Proven experience in server resource management & performance tuning.
- Proficiency in cloud monitoring tools will be a plus.
