AWS - Lightsail and Simple email server Issue

I have a website running on AWS Lighstail instance (WHS/Cpanel Instance). I also have setup Amazon SES. In the current set up emails are not working and need assistance in configuring transactional emails on the webserver. I feel we are missing something in the set up (May be notset DNS or SES correctly. We can write all required PHP/Mysql code we need help in guiding us on AWS side. Someone with good AWS, Domain and DNS knowledge is nneded to solve this issue.
