AWS Core Services Setup, Review & Optimization (EC2, S3, RDS)

Job ID: 40185063

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I am looking for an experienced AWS engineer to help me design, review, and fine-tune the setup of core AWS services, specifically EC2, S3, and RDS. The goal is to ensure that the environment is configured correctly from the start and follows AWS best practices for security, reliability, and performance.
This engagement is focused on guidance rather than direct implementation. I will provide consultation-only access, and the work will be done through live screen-sharing sessions, written instructions, and clear checklists that I can follow and apply myself in the AWS console.
In addition to initial setup and configuration, I want to establish a simple and effective maintenance and monitoring routine. This includes CloudWatch metrics, alerts, backup strategies, and operational checks that can be followed on a regular basis to keep the environment stable.
Finally, the project should produce a practical roadmap for future optimization and scaling. This should cover right-sizing, cost-efficient storage management, and scaling approaches that can be applied as usage grows, without over-engineering the solution.

Deliverables
• Architecture diagram covering EC2, S3, and RDS
• Step-by-step setup and configuration guide
• Maintenance and monitoring checklist with recommended CloudWatch metrics and alarms
• Backup and reliability guidance for EC2 and RDS
• Scaling and optimization playbook (Auto Scaling concepts, S3 lifecycle policies, RDS read replicas)
