AWS EC2 & Codebase Assessment for HiBFF.com

Job ID: 39550876

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

HiBFF.com EC2 T3 Large Instance & Codebase Assessment
We require an experienced and methodical developer for a fixed-price diagnostic and assessment phase for our HiBFF.com project. Our website, hosted on an AWS EC2 T3 Large instance, is currently displaying a "system is busy" message, preventing user login and affecting core functionalities like our homepage animated AvA (Rebecca) and user dashboard AvAs.

This is not a full bug-fix engagement initially, but a focused assessment to diagnose the current issues and outline a clear path forward. We are seeking a professional who can provide a precise and actionable plan.

What We Need Done (Deliverables for $300 Fixed Price):

Initial Diagnosis of "System Busy" & Login Failure:

Thorough investigation of the EC2 T3 Large instance to identify the root cause of the "system is busy" message, login failure, and Rebecca AvA loading issues. This includes reviewing server logs, resource utilization, and application processes.

Identify any immediate fatal errors or resource bottlenecks.

Assessment of Codebase State & Location:

Determine the exact location of the HiBFF.com website source code on the EC2 instance.

Assess the general health and structure of the existing codebase.

Outline the process and estimated effort to securely extract this live codebase and establish it in our private GitHub repository (HiBFF-V3 organization, HiBFF Team repository). This should be a step-by-step plan.

Preliminary Analysis of Known Issues (if time permits):

Briefly review the existing D-ID API integration related to user dashboard AvAs.

Briefly review the Stripe webhook endpoint setup.

Provide initial hypotheses on potential issues for these, based on the codebase assessment.

Detailed Report & Action Plan:

Provide a concise report detailing findings from the diagnosis.

Present a clear, step-by-step action plan for resolving the "system is busy" error and getting the site stable.

Provide a separate, itemized estimate for the cost and timeline of the full bug fixes (e.g., getting the site fully functional, D-ID dashboard AvAs, Stripe webhook) after the initial stabilization and GitHub setup are complete.

What We Are Looking For:

Proven Expertise: Demonstrable experience with AWS EC2 instance management, Linux server environments, and web application troubleshooting.

Methodical & Diagnostic Skills: Ability to systematically identify root causes and propose clear solutions.

Strong Communication: Excellent written communication skills, capable of explaining technical findings clearly and concisely to a non-technical client.

Git & GitHub Familiarity: Understanding of version control best practices and how to prepare a codebase for GitHub.

Professionalism: Punctual delivery of the assessment and report.

Access Requirements:

Upon engagement, we will provide secure, temporary access to the necessary AWS resources and EC2 instance (e.g., IAM user with specific permissions, SSH key).

Budget:

We are offering a fixed price of $300 USD for the completion of the deliverables outlined above. This is for the assessment and plan only; further work will be quoted and negotiated separately based on your assessment.
