I am embarking on an exciting project to migrate our on-premises three-tier application to the cloud, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS), and I’m seeking expertise to enhance our development operations with a robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
**Key Requirements**
- **DevOps CI/CD Setup:** Implement and configure a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, integrated seamlessly with AWS.
- **AWS Migration:** Assist with the migration process ensuring a smooth transition of our application to the AWS cloud platform. While my primary focus is on the DevOps aspect, any additional insights into optimizing our cloud setup will be highly valued.
- **Linux Administration:** Since our application runs on a Linux environment, skills in Linux administration will be essential to manage and configure our system in the cloud effectively.
**Ideal Skills and Experience**
- Proven track record with AWS, especially with migrations and setting up environments.
- Proficient in CI/CD toolsets, particularly Jenkins, with experience in integrating these with AWS for automated testing and deployment.
- Strong expertise in Linux administration, capable of troubleshooting and optimizing the server environment in the cloud.
- Familiarity with AWS CodePipeline is a plus, as it may be a tool we incorporate in the future.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues during the migration and CI/CD setup process.
