AWS Backend Engineer for Single Page Application
Budget: €18 – €36 EUR
We are looking for an AWS backend engineer for a single page application. You will take responsibility for the backend part of the application, so you should be comfortable looking at the big picture and planning ahead, not just being assigned tasks.
You should have great critical thinking and problem solving skills, with experience in programming and AWS backend architectures. Knowing the particular technologies used is less important than an ability to learn quickly, analyze and solve new problems, and communicate your knowledge with the team.
You will be responsible for the following:
1.) Expanding and refining our existing AWS architecture (AppSync, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.)
2.) Implementing the changes to the architecture that you designed in TypeScript / JSON / yaml / etc.
3.) Improving the latency of the API
a) Rebuilding part of our stack to use CDK (or another suitable technology) instead of amplify
b) Refining our database structure for improved performance in the most performance critical paths
4.) Writing documentation and guiding other team members (for example through code reviews or pair programming) in working with the backend architecture you helped design
