AWS Amplify React Native ios Application Development support

Job ID: 33846483

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Context

An experienced AWS Amplify developer is required to assist with helping setup a mobile application. The application is intended to run on Android and iOS. AWS Amplify has been chosen as the target architecture.

The application is a small text parsing application. You must have knowledge of the iOS SMS and MMS Message filtering API.

Requirements
- Provide expert advice regarding AWS Amplify setup and configuration
- Ability to perform all the code and configuration activity
- App functional requirements
- Parse an incoming SMS or MMS message
- Perform a check on the message using logic internal to the application
- Decide to either allow the message to continue to the user or...
- Call an externally hosted REST service which will decide if the message service is allowed through or not (you will not need to code this, I will do that)
- Check to see if application update is available and ask user if they wish to install
- Provide a trial period with time limited access to all features of the application
- Implement a subscription model which takes a recurring payment from a customer. Either monthly or an annual one off fee.

- Utilise an AWS API gateway which will enable other clients to consume core services

Skills required

- Expert level AWS Amplify
- Expert level Reactive Native
- Knowledge of of iOS SMS, MMS message filtering
- Ability to setup and configure an AWS Amplify configuration

Architecture chosen

React Native has been selected for deployment to both iOS and Android. Rationale behind this includes speed of development and reduced cost associated with a shared code base. I would welcome input to to this decision. I expect the candidate to contribute to and fully support the architectural decisions that have been made will meet the requirements. I do NOT want to have a conversation with a developer in future that tells me the requirements cannot be met due to design constraints!
