Copy Edit & KDP Ready Memoir
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’ve completed a 200-page memoir and now need it professionally polished and prepared for Kindle Direct Publishing.
The manuscript is in solid shape, but I want a thorough copy edit that tightens sentences, fixes grammar and punctuation slip-ups, and ensures overall consistency without altering my voice. Once the text is refined, I also need it laid out so it flows cleanly in both the KDP print template and the Kindle e-book version—widows, orphans, headers, page numbers, and all the usual style points taken care of.
For the cover, I’ll provide a high-resolution photograph that I’d like transformed into the full wrap (front, spine, back). The design should remain faithful to the photo while looking crisp in thumbnail view on Amazon. I’ll supply title, subtitle, author name, and back-cover copy; you handle sizing, bleed, and spine width calculations based on the final page count.
Deliverables
• Clean, copy-edited manuscript returned in Word with all changes tracked
• Print-ready PDF interior meeting KDP’s trim, margin, and embed-font specs
• Reflowable Kindle file (EPUB or KPF) that passes the Kindle Previewer checks
• Press-ready cover PDF plus a flat JPEG for marketing
