Amazon Brand Manager for Growing Eco-Friendly Brand
Budget: €36 – €0 EUR
Hi there, this is Gianmarco, founder of AIRNEX, an eco-friendly Home & Kitchen brand, and host of “The Seller Process Podcast”. If you are a talented and ambitious professional and an Amazon nerd looking to exponentially improve yourself personally, professionally, and spiritually while making an impact through meaningful work in a growing startup organization, then read on coz this job post is for you!
AIRNEX is a fast-growing brand developing several new green and sustainable products for eco-conscious consumers. Currently, we sell mostly on Amazon, but we also operate on Shopify and Walmart. We have over 200,000 customers in 7 countries (USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, Japan, China). We just partnered up with a sales team in the US who will work on getting our products in physical retail stores.
I’m definitely biased — but I’m pretty sure we are one of the sweetest e-commerce jobs out there. I really believe that this work is changing the world here because our e-commerce brand is set to positively impact the lives of thousands of eco-conscious people who choose to use our eco-friendly products, saving tons of plastic waste and CO2 every year. We are also committed to environmental and social causes, having planted 10,000 trees and financing plastic waste collection from the oceans through our partners at Clean Hub.
Honestly, the job is not all roses and puppy dogs — there is some good news and there is some bad news…
Let’s get the bad news out of the way first:
1) The job requires your full-time (and more), your full commitment, and your full focus. Depending on people’s responses, you may need to look at your email also on weekends and sometimes after working hours in order to move on with the processes and not delay any response.
I’m looking for someone who can join the team full-time feeling like it is its own company he/she is working in.
2) Review point 1.
Now let’s talk about the good stuff:
1. The work is fun, fresh, and dynamic. You will be working directly with me, the founder, helping me with a mix of initiatives, projects, and support.
2. The hours are super flexible. You will be able to manage your time as you prefer.
3. You’ll have a ton of autonomy + the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table and boss me around when you need me to get things done. Seriously -- I want you to take charge!
Here are some specific things you’ll get to do:
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets for the Amazon business
- Be responsible for Amazon store end-to-end management, increasing ranking, conversion, and overall sales
- Launch new products: keywords research, funnels, listing preparations, backend settings, review generation, etc.
- Drive the success of product launches that include delivering on key factors that support this critical phase of the Amazon product lifecycle
- Monitor operational health, sales metrics, and Amazon advertising trends to ensure target metrics are achieved.
- Report (daily, weekly, monthly) on overall operations health and provide recommendations to enhance performance
- Resolution and follow-up of problems through the creation of seller support cases
- Analyze product ASIN rankings, ratings, customer feedback/reviews, as well as product sales performance to determine the best and worst-performing SKUs
- Stay informed with eCommerce retail industry best practices, new trends and technologies, marketplaces, and platform updates (e.g. Amazon, Walmart, etc.)
- Offer support on the inventory management strategy and forecasts
- Catalog and PDP Management — New item set up, item maintenance, content uploading and PDP monitoring
- Conducting A/B tests to improve product metrics
- Continually find new ways to improve the business by conducting deep research and regularly learning about changes in the Amazon Marketplace, competitor strategies, and any other threats and opportunities
If this is a job that gets you so excited that you would even do it for free, I would totally accept that offer from you :D
But if you prefer compensation (I totally get it…I prefer getting paid as well) this is what I can offer:
- There is a probation period of 3 months where we’ll know each other and understand well if we are a great fit, during which the compensation will be between $1,400 and $1,700$/month (based on experience and skills level)
- After the 3 months, given that we will both be happy with our collaboration, we will create a plan to increase the compensation over time up to $2,000/month and potentially beyond based on individual and company performance.
In addition to the basic compensation, you will get access to several perks, learning programs, courses, and materials that account for more than $20k in value (which we bought over the years or are currently part of). Also, as we grow together, more monetary incentives will be added based on the achievement of milestones.
To apply you must meet all of the requirements below:
- Must have at least 3 years experience working on Amazon and preferably as a Brand Manager
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have excellent English level
We are very keen to find the absolute best fit for our company so expect to go through a series of steps before getting confirmed and starting working together, here are the steps:
1) Send a quick intro about you and let us know why you think you're a good fit for this position (please do not apply if you don't meet the above criteria)
2) We'll send you an application form with a questionnaire to learn more about you and your expertise
3) You'll receive a "Skill Test" where you'll need to respond to complete certain tasks to show us your skills (we will pay you for the time spent on the Skill Test if you end up joining our team)
4) We'll interview the candidates that submit the best Skill Tests
5) We'll contact you to start working with us!
I’m looking to bring our new team member on board as soon as possible, but I will spend the necessary time to find the best fit both in abilities and culturally.
I can’t wait to meet you!
