AWS Migration and Deployment Specialist
Budget: $50 – $0 AUD
We are seeking an experienced and skilled freelancer to assist us with migrating our DigitalOcean droplets to AWS EC2/AWS Lambda. Droplets are running Ubuntu.
As part of this requirement, we need someone with expertise in configuring AWS services, particularly CodeDeploy or similar, to ensure seamless deployment of code from GitHub as we intend to use EC2 with Auto Scaling.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team to understand the existing infrastructure and migration requirements.
- Migrate 1 x DigitalOcean droplet to AWS EC2
- Configure AWS services, specifically CodeDeploy or similar, to enable smooth code deployment from GitHub.
- Configure EC2 failover mechanisms for high availability and reliability
- Optimize the infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to our team members for ongoing maintenance and support.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, CodeDeploy, and GitHub integration.
- Experience in configuring and managing failover mechanisms for high availability using AWS/EC2
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform (assuming this is what we are recommended to use)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
