Operational PCB Upgrade & Noise Reduction

My inspection system is already on the production floor, driven by C-based firmware, yet the electronics are showing their age. I need a seasoned PCB designer to breathe new life into the hardware without disturbing day-to-day operations. Your core mission is to redesign the existing boards, swap out obsolete parts, and—above all—drive down electrical noise that is creeping into both data and video paths.

Why the focus on noise? It is the single biggest drag on reliability, and the current communication modules are the worst offenders. While you tackle that, you will also be refining video signal integrity, tightening power regulation, and keeping every subsystem talking happily to the next. Compatibility with the present firmware and mechanical layout is non-negotiable; I cannot afford downtime for major rewrites or re-housing.

Deliverables I expect:
• Updated schematics and PCB layouts ready for fabrication
• Complete BOM with modern, readily available components
• Gerber, pick-and-place, and assembly drawings
• Clear integration notes so the refreshed boards drop straight into the existing C-based environment
• Validation plan outlining how we will confirm the noise reduction and communication stability targets have been met

I am tool-agnostic—Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent are fine—so long as the output files follow industry standards. When you respond, highlight projects where you have tamed electrical noise, routed high-speed video, and rescued temperamental comms links; that hands-on experience will weigh heavily in my selection.
