Mixed-Signal Communication Circuit Design -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a mixed-signal circuit tailored for a communication system. The design must seamlessly combine signal modulation with accurate data conversion, forming the heart of a reliable RF-to-digital signal chain.
Scope
• Develop the complete schematic, integrating the chosen modulation block with high-resolution ADC/DAC stages.
• Validate performance through simulation (SPICE, ADS, or an equivalent flow) and document key figures—SNR, BER, ENOB, and phase noise where applicable.
• Lay out the PCB (Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar), observing best-practice mixed-signal partitioning, grounding, and impedance control.
• Supply a clearly annotated BOM with part numbers that are in current production.
Acceptance Criteria
1. Modulation stage meets the specified carrier frequency and complies with standard linearity metrics.
2. Data-conversion block achieves the target resolution and sample rate without exceeding the defined power budget.
3. Simulation plots and test benches reproduce the above results.
4. Deliverables handed over: schematics (PDF + editable file), PCB files, BOM, and a concise design report.
With these elements in place, I’ll be able to move directly from design approval to prototype fabrication.
