Hardware Engineer Needed – Smart Ring PCB/FPC Design (BLE Wearable)
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
We are developing a luxury smart ring wearable and are looking for an experienced hardware engineer to design a compact PCB/FPC for this device.
This is a very small wearable device, so experience with ultra-compact electronics is essential.
Device concept:
Smart ring with biometric sensors and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity.
Main components planned:
• Nordic nRF5340 BLE SoC
• MAX86174 optical biometric sensor (PPG)
• ICM-42670 motion sensor (IMU)
• TMP119 temperature sensor
• nPM1304 power management IC
• External SPI Flash memory
• Li-Po micro battery
Design constraints:
• Ring thickness target: 3–3.5 mm
• PCB width: approx 5.5 mm
• PCB length: approx 26–30 mm semicircle layout
• Extremely low power consumption
• BLE antenna tuning required
Scope of work:
• Electronic schematic design
• PCB / FPC layout for wearable device
• BLE antenna matching network
• Gerber files for manufacturing
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Pick and place files
• Assembly documentation
• Design for manufacturing (DFM)
Required experience:
• Wearable electronics design
• Compact PCB/FPC layout
• BLE antenna design
• Low-power embedded hardware
Preferred experience:
• Smart rings
• Earbuds
• Smart watches
• Medical wearable devices
