Control Panel Electrical Designer & Mentor Needed (Schematic + Panel Layout)
I'm looking for an experienced electrical control panel designer who can help me create professional control panel drawings while teaching me the process so I can maintain and expand the designs independently in the future.
Project Scope
Develop complete electrical schematics for a control panel.
Create the physical panel layout showing component placement, wire ducts, terminals, DIN rails, etc.
Produce organized, professional drawings suitable for manufacturing and future revisions.
Explain your design decisions and best practices throughout the project.
Training Requirement
A key part of this project is knowledge transfer. I don't just want the finished drawings—I want to learn how to create and modify them myself.
You should:
Teach me how to use the software through screen-sharing sessions.
Explain your workflow from project setup to completed drawings.
Show me how to make future modifications and create new projects independently.
Answer questions as we work through the design.
Software
I am open to your recommendation, provided it is:
Affordable (no expensive enterprise licensing).
Suitable for electrical control panel design.
Preferably open-source, although low-cost commercial software is also acceptable if it offers significant advantages.
Please mention which software you recommend and why.
Ideal Candidate
Experienced in industrial electrical control panel design.
Able to produce both schematic and panel layout drawings.
Familiar with industry best practices (IEC, UL 508A, or similar standards, as applicable).
Patient teacher with good communication skills.
Fluent in English.
