Custom 3-Digit LED PCB
Budget: $22 – $34 USD
I’m designing a compact three-digit, common-cathode display where every segment is built from individual LEDs rather than off-the-shelf 7-segment modules. I want crisp, even illumination, so please treat LED placement, trace symmetry, and resistor selection with care. The digits will use white LEDs, and the unit will not operate under harsh ambient light, so glare mitigation isn’t a major concern.
Altium Designer is mandatory for both the schematic and board work. Beyond that I’m flexible: choose individual or shared resistors per segment as you see fit, so long as current balance keeps brightness uniform and component count stays reasonable.
Deliverables I need to sign off the project:
• Altium schematic file (.SchDoc)
• Altium PCB layout file (.PcbDoc) with a tight, manufacturable footprint
• Fabrication-ready Gerber set plus drill files
• Complete BOM listing LED part numbers, resistor values, and any other passives
I’ll review the Altium files in detail, run a quick DRC, and check that the LED footprints, cathode routing, and reference designators in the BOM match the board. Once everything aligns, we’re done.
