Altium PCB Design Review by Remote
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Freelance Hardware Engineer – Altium PCB Design Review (Remote Access)
We have an existing Pulse Converter PCB designed using Altium Designer and are looking for an experienced freelance hardware / PCB design engineer to perform a technical design review.
The work will be done via remote access to our computer (AnyDesk / TeamViewer). Design files will not be shared.
Detailed circuit functionality and design context will be explained after mutual agreement and confidentiality alignment.
Scope of Work:
Review the schematic and PCB layout in Altium Designer and identify potential design issues, risks, and improvement points, including but not limited to:
Power input and regulation (wide-range DC input)
Relay driver circuits
Optocoupler-based pulse input circuits
MCU (ESP32 or similar) pin usage and protection
Grounding and power plane strategy
EMI / ESD risks
Trace width, clearance, creepage distances
Manufacturability and field reliability concerns
Provide clear, actionable technical feedback and, if needed, revision recommendations.
Requirements:
Strong experience with Altium Designer
Proven PCB design experience with MCUs (ESP32 or similar)
Experience with industrial-grade hardware design
Knowledge of relay, optocoupler, and high-voltage tolerant circuits
Understanding of power integrity, EMI / ESD considerations
Comfortable working via remote desktop tools
Working Model:
Remote, confidentiality-focused engagement
Design review via screen sharing only
Estimated duration: 1–3 sessions (depending on complexity)
Compensation to be agreed based on experience
Application Requirements:
Brief professional background or profile link
Examples of previous PCB / hardware projects
Years of experience with Altium Designer
Availability (days / hours)
Note:
This task is limited to design review and technical assessment. If collaboration is successful, additional work such as design revisions or new PCB development may follow.
