Altium Mentorship and Collaborative PCB Design
Budget: ₹400 – ₹750 INR
I’m an electronics engineer with about eight years in hardware development, yet my PCB work has always been spread across different EDA tools and subcontractors. I’d now like to dive deep into Altium Designer through a structured, hands-on mentorship.
What I want to achieve
• Master effective component placement, clean routing techniques, and solid signal-integrity practices that hold up in a real consumer-electronics product.
• Co-create an actual board—something small-to-medium in scope, typical of modern IoT or portable consumer devices—so every concept is immediately applied, reviewed, and refined.
• Move beyond theory: I’d like each session to include screensharing, live edits, constraint-manager walk-throughs, stack-up planning, DRC rule creation, and post-layout simulation where relevant.
How we’ll work together
I already know the basics: schematic capture, library management, and simple two-layer layouts. Your role is to challenge and elevate me. After each milestone you’ll review my files, annotate improvement points, and demonstrate best practices—whether that’s controlled-impedance routing, differential pairs, return-path strategy, or high-speed fan-outs. I’ll then re-work the section and we’ll iterate. Voice/video calls with shared Altium screens are ideal, but annotated PDFs or recorded walkthroughs are welcome when schedules collide.
Deliverables (for every milestone)
1. Updated Altium project files with your edits clearly flagged.
2. A brief written or recorded rationale for each design decision we touch.
3. A checkpoint review summarising what I did well and what to tackle next.
The collaboration can fit evenings (UTC+5:30) or weekends; I’m flexible on pacing as long as progress is steady. If you’re an experienced board designer who enjoys teaching and can back advice with real-world EMI/EMC or production-ready examples, let’s talk and outline the first board.
