Obtain algorithm used to generate 16-bit XOR keys for encrypted media files

I need assistance with obtaining the algorithm used to calculate the 16-bit XOR keys used to encrypt media files on an embedded audio player. I've managed to decode some blocks and I have those keys, but I require help with figuring out the algorithm used to calculate/generate the keys.
The keys are 16 bits. The encoding used is XOR. The key changes every 512 bytes. Given that the encoding is XOR, and that there often are 0000 values in the data, the key often appears in the data. The challenge is to figure out how the key is generated.
