Project overview
We are looking for a top-tier Algolia specialist to design, configure, and optimize our Algolia implementation for product/content search and multi-faceted filtering. The goal is fast, highly-relevant results with intuitive filters, great typo-tolerance, and strong analytics. You will deliver a production-ready configuration plus clear documentation and a short handover/training session.
What we need (high level)
- Review our data model and recommend an ideal Algolia index schema.
- Configure indexing, attributesForFaceting, searchableAttributes, customRanking, replicas, and ranking rules.
- Set up synonyms, typo tolerance, and query rules to improve relevancy.
- Implement filters/facets, numeric & range filters, hierarchical (category) facets, and multi-select behavior.
- Optimize for performance (index size, attributes, replicas, caching).
- Integrate Algolia with our stack (provide code samples/snippets or PRs) and help with front-end widgets/UX.
- Add instrumentation: analytics events, A/B test plan (if beneficial), and monitoring.
- Provide documentation, test queries, and a 60–90 minute handover session.
