Siemens S7-200 Solar Farm Setup
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I need a clean, well-structured STEP 7 Micro/Win program for a Siemens S7-200 that is managing 20–30 hard-wired I/O points at a small solar farm. All field wiring is already terminated; what’s missing is the logic and the human-machine interface.
On the PLC side
• Map the existing digital and analog signals, write the control logic, and label every tag clearly so future maintenance is painless.
• Implement basic interlocks plus alarm bits for three events: any Circuit Breaker trip, a general fire signal, and an intruder alert.
On the SIMATIC HMI
• Create intuitive screens that display live Voltage levels, Current levels and overall Power output.
• Show the open/closed status for 1–5 Circuit Breakers with colour-coded indication and acknowledge/reset for the above alarms.
• Arrange navigation so an operator reaches any key value or breaker status in no more than two touches.
Before hand-off I would like an offline simulation (PLCSIM or equivalent) or short video proving all objects update correctly, followed by the finished .mwp project, the HMI file, and a concise commissioning checklist.
If you have done S7-200 work on renewables or other utility sites, that experience will be a plus.
