WordPress Developer for Customized Blocks
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for a seasoned WordPress developer who can implement an enhancement to our post editing experience within WP Gutenberg. This role requires functionality coding for customized, locked blocks that automatically populate within the main content area of the post edit page based on category selection.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Decode our requirement for the blocks to display specific content based on post category.
2. We utilize WP Gutenberg, ACF plugin elements and the snippets plugin, as needed.
2. Load the right mix of text and multimedia fields into these blocks, depending on the selected category.
3. Ensure these blocks populate within the main content space of the post edit page, not within the sidebar, and are locked so that editors cannot remove these blocks without changing the selected category.
Ideal candidates should have excellent WordPress coding skills, an understanding of post-editing user interfaces, and past experience working on content and category driven tasks. Be prepared to provide samples of similar work completed. At the start of your reply, please state "I have read the full details of your request."
Specific requirements:
1. First block to pre-load should always be a custom category block, displayed with a required dropdown field, where editors are only able to select one post category.
2. Each category, once selected, should load additional, pre-selected blocks which should not be able to be removed or re-ordered by the editor. If possible, the top category block should always remain at the top of the edit page but it's okay if this block also needs to reload with the selected category pre-selected, to be able to clear out all the other blocks not assigned to the selected category.

c. Sub-title text field (Required, location locked)
d. "Promo image" from ACF image field (Required, location locked)
