Finalize HTML/JS Login Website
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The core pages of my site are already coded in HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript; what I need now is someone to bring it across the finish line. The priorities are:
• Build a secure dual-login system. Regular clients sign in to a user dashboard, while staff sign in to an admin panel.
• Connect both logins to a backed-up data store so credentials, sessions and role permissions are handled server-side.
• Flesh out the user dashboard with profile management, real-time notifications, a lightweight file area and a simple wallet/balance view.
• Equip the admin panel with user management tools (create, suspend, reset password) and basic site-wide settings.
• Polish the existing front-end: tidy markup, tighten JavaScript, ensure responsive layout and cross-browser consistency.
• Comment the key sections of code and provide a brief hand-off note so I can maintain it after launch.
Acceptance criteria
1. Both logins redirect to the correct area based on role and hold sessions for at least 30 minutes of inactivity.
2. CRUD operations on users and files must complete without console errors or page reloads (AJAX/fetch).
3. All dashboard components render correctly on the latest Chrome, Firefox and Safari, mobile and desktop.
4. Source is delivered as a Git repo with one clear commit per feature.
If you normally work with lightweight frameworks (e.g., Express, Node, Firebase, Supabase) that’s fine—just keep the final bundle lean and easy to host on a standard VPS.
