API Based - Consumer Facing - Wordpress Web App
Budget: $35 – $50 USD
Project Overview:
The goal is to develop a web-based tool that will allow users to verify eligibility status for government benefits. The tool will be hosted on a WordPress website and should have a user-friendly interface. Users should be able to repeatedly send API requests, and the tool should return the confirmation status efficiently and effectively. Additionally, there must be a subscription system for users to pay for access to the tool.
Functional Requirements:
User Authentication & Subscription: Implement a user registration and authentication system that allows users to sign up, log in, and purchase a subscription to use the verification tool. I already have a subscription plugin on my WordPress site that should be used.
Data Input Form for API Submission: Rather than creating an API interface from scratch use Contact Form 7 or another Wordpress form Plugin to create a data input form that collects necessary information (such as name, date of birth, etc.) for the API request.
AJAX Submission: Use AJAX for form submission to enhance user experience by avoiding page reloads.
Result Display: After submission, the tool should display the result returned by the API to the user. (basically a Yes or No response related to whether or not they qualify)
Security: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data, such as using HTTPS, sanitizing and validating input data, and ensuring secure user authentication. The input data should not be stored, once a user is verified there is no need to keep their data.
Performance Optimization: The tool should be optimized for performance. This includes implementing caching, and ensuring efficient code execution.
Monitoring & Alerts: Implement monitoring tools to keep an eye on server resources and set up alerts for abnormal usage.
Web Technologies: PHP for server-side scripting, JavaScript (jQuery) for client-side scripting, AJAX for form submission, HTML/CSS for the front-end.
Payment Gateway Integration: I already have a payment gateway that is connected to my subscription plugin, just confirm it is working correctly with the App
Freelancer Qualifications:
Experience with WordPress: Experience developing custom plugins and themes.
Web Development Skills: Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
API Integration: Experience in integrating third-party APIs, especially RESTful APIs.
Performance Optimization: Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques including caching and code optimization.
Security: Understanding of web security best practices.
Monitoring and Analytics Tools: Experience with implementing monitoring tools and setting up alerts.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and report progress.
Problem-solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during development.
Attention to Detail: Ensure the final product is polished, fully functional, and user-friendly.
Deliverables:
A fully functional Tool hosted on my WordPress website.
Source code of the custom WordPress plugin or theme developed for the tool.
Documentation detailing the architecture, code, and any configurations needed for the tool.
