Textbook Layout Redesign & Formatting
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a 100-page manuscript already drafted in Microsoft Word. What I now need is a modern, vibrant layout that not only reflects an engaging tone for people in rural areas in Southern Africa with a secondary education but also keeps future revisions simple for our author team.
Here is the full scope of work:
• Design a fresh, modern, and vibrant page template (styles, colour palette, heading hierarchy, tables, illustrations and pictures, call-outs, icons, etc.) that can live entirely inside MS Word.
• Apply that template consistently to the existing 80-page file, cleaning up any formatting glitches along the way.
• Embed working hyperlinks to our external resources (YouTube videos, LMS activities, reference sites) and make sure they remain active once exported.
• Export press-ready and web-optimised PDFs from the final Word file, with all links fully clickable.
• Hand over the fully formatted Word document, any custom style files, and the PDFs so my team can edit content easily in the future.
Acceptance criteria: the Word file must open without missing fonts or macros, the styles panel should show clearly named styles for every element used, and every link in both PDFs must work.
If you have a strong eye for layout, solid Word skills, and experience producing link-friendly PDFs, I’d love to collaborate.
