I need a web-based system that allows our dispatchers to plan and control daily truck operations from a single screen. The application must combine three core abilities: smart route optimisation, real-time fleet tracking and an intuitive delivery-scheduling workspace. Here is what I expect to receive: • Fully responsive web app, secured with role-based log-in, designed around dispatcher workflows. • Map dashboard (Google Maps, Mapbox or similar) that plots every vehicle’s live GPS feed and refreshes automatically. • Optimisation engine that can reorder stops, respect delivery time windows, vehicle capacity and current traffic, then output the most efficient route with distance and time savings visible. • Drag-and-drop scheduler and calendar view where new jobs can be slotted in and instantly pushed to the relevant truck. • REST API or webhook endpoint to ingest GPS and order data plus export routes to the driver app we already use. • Relational database schema and complete source code with build & deployment instructions (Docker or traditional server is fine). Acceptance criteria • A test dataset of 50 trucks and 500 daily deliveries should generate optimised routes in under two minutes. • Live location updates must appear on the dispatcher screen with a maximum 10-second delay. • Scheduler changes sync to the tracking map without page refresh. Feel free to suggest the tech stack—Laravel, Node, Django, React, Vue or similar—but choose tools you can support through to production. I will provide sample GPS feeds and delivery orders once the project starts.
