Systems Engineer L3 – Azure, Proxmox/Ceph, PowerShell, Python (Long‑Term Role)
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We are a fast-growing Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Level 3) with strong leadership skills to support and lead our existing Level I & II engineering team.
You will handle advanced system design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation across our cloud and on‑prem environments.
Core responsibilities:
Architect, deploy, and maintain Proxmox and Ceph-based virtualization and storage environments.
Design and manage Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including migrations, security, and governance.
Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and related infrastructure.
Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell and Python for provisioning, monitoring, patching, and reporting.
Collaborate with and provide escalation support to Level I & II engineers, helping them resolve complex tickets and improve processes.
Work with RMM and ticketing systems to manage incidents, changes, and problem tickets in a structured way.
Nice to have:
Experience with Office 365, Citrix XenApp, Azure Virtual Desktop, and multi-tenant MSSP environments.
Familiarity with common firewalls and VPN solutions (e.g., SonicWALL, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti).
Requirements:
Proven Level 3 Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer experience in an MSP or MSSP environment.
Hands-on experience with Proxmox (and ideally Ceph) in production.
Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 administration experience; Azure certification is a plus (please list your certifications).
Solid PowerShell skills; Python experience for automation is highly preferred.
Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to work closely with a distributed team.
