Storyboard Artist – Music Video Production

Job ID: 39601933

Budget: $300 – $600 USD

Please do not call my phone number by any means.

We are seeking a skilled Storyboard Artist to create a complete and detailed storyboard for a music video project. The storyboard will define the composition, framing, and sequence of every shot and serve as the visual blueprint for AI-assisted production.

This is a freelance, fast-turnaround assignment.

Objective
To deliver a clear, organized storyboard of approximately 70–100 monochrome line-art sketches, visually illustrating each shot’s composition, camera angle, subject placement, and intended action or emotion. The work must adhere to cinematic principles and be suitable for reference by both artists and engineers working with AI-generation tools.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the creative director and production team to interpret the script, musical cues, and artistic direction into a coherent visual sequence.

Based on a provided detailed shot list (to be used as a guideline, not a rigid template), conceptualize and illustrate approximately 70–100 distinct frames, exercising creative freedom while staying aligned with the project’s vision.

Produce basic monochrome line-art sketches, prioritizing clarity and correct composition over artistic embellishment.

Ensure all sketches depict realistic, cinematic camera perspectives (not illustrative or painterly), as would be framed through an actual camera lens, with accurate angles, depth, and spatial relationships.

Adjust and refine frames based on up to two rounds of modification requests per frame.

Deliver all sketches in a labeled, digital format, organized for easy reference in an AI production workflow.

Requirements
Demonstrated experience creating storyboards for film, music videos, animation, or related visual media.

Strong grasp of cinematic composition, shot language, and narrative flow, with the ability to translate text descriptions into compelling and realistic visual compositions.

Ability to conceptualize full shots independently from written direction, with minimal additional input.

Skilled at producing clear, efficient, camera-accurate line art suitable for production planning.

Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.

Familiarity with the constraints and potential of AI-generated imagery is preferred.

Familiarity with Japanese culture, J-Pop aesthetics, Latin pop styles, or prior experience working on music video storyboards is a plus.

Deliverables
Approximately 70–100 monochrome line-art sketches, clearly indicating the composition and sequence of each shot.

Delivered in an organized, labeled digital format suitable for AI generation workflows.

At least the first 10 frames must be delivered by Monday (14/7) to demonstrate direction and speed.

Timeline & Expectations
Fast turnaround: first 10 frames by Monday (14/7) is mandatory.

Remaining frames to follow on an agreed schedule.

Up to two modification requests per frame will be accommodated.
