AI Regulation Article Coding
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a rigorous content analysis of the full texts of the PIPL, GDPR, and California’s CRPA. I will supply each regulation as an editable Word document together with my initial coding manual. Your task is to read every article, decide whether—and how—it speaks to transparency, fairness, reliability, social impact, autonomy / human oversight, accountability, or privacy, and then record that judgment in a clear, well-structured coding sheet.
Here is the workflow I have in mind: import the Word files into your preferred qualitative analysis tool (MAXQDA, NVivo, ATLAS.ti, or even Python scripts if you are comfortable) and assign the codes exactly as defined in my manual. When an article fits more than one theme, feel free to multi-code it as long as you explain the rationale in a short notes column. Where you find gaps or ambiguous wording, flag those lines so I can review them later.
Deliverables
• A spreadsheet (Excel or CSV) listing regulation, article number, applied code(s), and your brief justification sentence
• The project file or script you used for coding so I can replicate the work
• A concise memo (2-3 pages) highlighting patterns you observed—e.g., which themes dominate each regulation, where overlaps occur, and notable omissions
I consider the job finished when every article is coded, no category is left blank without comment, and your justification notes align with the definitions I provide. If anything in the coding manual is unclear, let’s discuss early so we stay consistent.
