Code Quality Assurance & Deployment Specialist

Job ID: 39906547

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

Specialist for AI-Assisted SaaS Code Review & Production Management

About the Role

I'm a techy founder (not to be confused with technical founder) building an Amazon product data analysis platform, and I'm looking for a detail-oriented developer to ensure production code quality and deployment excellence.

The Workflow

I rapidly prototype and build functional MVP features using Claude Code. You come in to review, refine, secure, and ship production-ready code. Think of it as a tag-team approach where I focus on speed and functionality, and you ensure quality, security, and maintainability.

Critical Point

I am very bullish on AI assisted code - rapid development and using process to move as quickly as possible. I am not looking for someone that wants to architect and code everything from scratch. Please do not apply if this is your thought process. I fully respect this approach... its just not me and the type of person I'm looking for. I want a someone eager to lean into developing with AI and push its limits.

What You'll Do

AI-Assisted Code Review: Use Claude Code (or similar AI tools) to efficiently review feature for security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and code quality

Production Deployment Ownership: Manage the deployment pipeline, production environment, and release process

Code Quality Guardian: Ensure best practices are followed, refactor when needed, and maintain technical debt at acceptable levels

Database Integrity: Review schema changes, migrations, and ensure data consistency in our PostgreSQL/Neon database

Collaborative Development: Work alongside me (via Claude Code/AI tools) to quickly iterate and ship features

Documentation: Keep technical docs and deployment checklists up to date

Tech Stack (What You Need to Know)
Core Stack:
- Next.js 15 (App Router) + TypeScript
- PostgreSQL (Neon) + Prisma ORM
- React + MUI X Data Grid
- Tailwind CSS 4
- Node.js API routes

Integrations:
- Stripe (subscriptions)
- OpenAI API
- JWT authentication
- AWS/cloud infrastructure
- NanaoBanana via fal.ai

Ideal Candidate:
- Full-stack development experience with production SaaS applications
- Strong expertise in Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and modern React patterns
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Security-first mindset (authentication, data validation, SQL injection prevention, etc.)
- Git workflow mastery (branches, PR reviews, production deployment strategies)
- Comfortable working independently with async communication

Bonus Points:
- Experience with Stripe integration and subscription billing
- Familiarity with Prisma ORM
- DevOps experience (CI/CD, monitoring, logging)
- Background in e-commerce or data analytics platforms
- Experience mentoring or upskilling techy founders

What Makes You Perfect for This

You LOVE:
- Using AI to move fast without sacrificing quality
- Being the "safety net" that catches issues before they hit production
- Working with founders who ship quickly but need technical guidance
- Clear ownership and responsibility
- Seeing your work directly impact a growing product

You're NOT:
- Someone who needs hand-holding or constant direction
- Afraid to push back when code needs improvement
- Resistant to AI-assisted development workflows

Work Details
- Start: Hourly trial basis (10-20 hours/week initially)
- Rate: Competitive hourly rate based on experience on location
- Growth Potential: If launch is successful and we work well together, could be a full time gig
- Location: Remote (US time zones preferred for overlap)
- Communication: Discord + weekly sync calls

How to Apply
Send me:
1. Your approach: In 2-3 paragraphs, describe how you'd review a feature branch that adds a new Stripe subscription tier (what would you check? what tools would you use?)
2. GitHub profile: Show me production code you've shipped
3. AI workflow: Briefly describe your current AI-assisted development workflow
4. Availability: When can you start and how many hours/week initially?

Example Workflow

Week 1:
- I ship a new "AI Image Studio" feature branch (functional but rough)
- You review with Claude Code, identify 3 security issues and 5 code quality improvements
- You refactor, add tests, update docs
- You deploy to production with monitoring
- We iterate on user feedback

Week 2:
- I add bulk export functionality
- You review database performance implications
- You optimize queries and add caching
- Ship with rollback plan

This is a rare opportunity to work closely with a motivated founder who values both speed AND quality. Let's build something great together.
