Core features I must see in the first release include automated document classification, full contract version control, and an AI-driven smart search that can instantly surface clauses or dates across thousands of files. The platform should keep document management (DMS) and contract lifecycle management (CLM) on the same dashboard, allow in-browser chat with uploaded files to produce instant summaries, and integrate seamlessly with DocuSign for e-signatures. Workflow creation and automation are also essential so users can route agreements for review, approval, and archival without touching a settings page.
Tech stack is your choice, but lean on modern, cloud-friendly frameworks and clearly separate API and front-end layers; my team will eventually extend both.
