Senior AI Systems Engineer – Design & Scale Production Multi-Agent Systems (Python / Distributed Systems)

I am looking to hire a top-tier, Senior Full-Stack / AI Systems Engineer on a contract basis to design, build, and operate production-grade, agentic AI systems for enterprise-scale applications.
This project goes far beyond basic API wrappers. You will be responsible for creating sophisticated multi-agent frameworks, developing enterprise-grounded reasoning mechanisms, and ensuring strict trust, safety, and governance protocols are embedded directly into the live deployments.
As the primary engineer, you will have complete ownership over day-to-day delivery, code implementation, and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Ownership: Design, build, and scale robust multi-agent frameworks and distributed systems tailored for complex workflows.
Production Operations: Oversee the end-to-end deployment, monitoring, and optimization of frontier AI models to guarantee reliable performance.
Advanced Retrieval Patterns: Implement and refine complex retrieval patterns (RAG) and data structures optimized for real-time AI contextual awareness.
Technical Delivery: Handle the daily engineering tasks, manage technical milestones, and participate fully in daily project alignment meetings.
Required Experience & Skills
8+ Years of Professional Experience: A rock-solid foundation in software engineering, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Production Agentic Systems: Proven, hands-on experience designing, operating, and scaling multi-agent or agentic AI systems in a live production environment.
Core Technical Stack: High proficiency in Python is mandatory. Strong familiarity with systems-level languages like Go, Java, or C++ is highly preferred.
AI Ecosystems: Deep experience working directly with frontier AI SDKs (Anthropic, Google, OpenAI) and enterprise retrieval patterns.
Communication: Exceptional communication and fluent English skills are strictly required to manage day-to-day coordination and delivery.
