Key Responsibilities

Design and implement ML models for DeFi market analysis, including predictive modeling for price movements, liquidity shifts, and protocol performance.
Develop portfolio analysis and optimization tools using algorithms like mean-variance optimization, genetic algorithms, or reinforcement learning to maximize returns while minimizing volatility in DeFi assets.
Build risk assessment frameworks to identify threats such as impermanent loss, smart contract vulnerabilities, flash loan exploits, and market manipulation.
Perform trend analysis on on-chain data (e.g., TVL, transaction volumes, yield farming metrics) to forecast emerging DeFi opportunities and downturns.
Evaluate and backtest quantitative strategies, integrating factors like arbitrage detection, sentiment analysis from social data, and oracle feeds.
Integrate with DeFi protocols and data sources (e.g., Dune Analytics, Chainlink, The Graph, Etherscan APIs) for real-time data ingestion and processing.
Collaborate on deploying scalable AI agents in production, ensuring low-latency performance for live trading environments.
Stay ahead of DeFi innovations, incorporating advancements in AI (e.g., LLMs for natural language querying of blockchain events) and crypto regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Quantitative Finance, or a related field (PhD a plus).
5+ years in AI/ML development, with 2+ years specifically in blockchain/DeFi or fintech.
Expertise in Python, with proficiency in libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.
Strong understanding of DeFi ecosystems, including DEXs (e.g., Uniswap, SushiSwap), lending platforms (e.g., Aave, Compound), and yield optimizers.
Experience with blockchain tools: Web3.py, Solidity for smart contract interaction, and data pipelines for handling large-scale on-chain datasets.
Proven track record in quantitative modeling, such as Monte Carlo simulations for risk, time-series forecasting (e.g., ARIMA, LSTM), or optimization techniques.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI) and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka) for handling high-volume crypto data.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders like traders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building trading bots or AI-driven dashboards for crypto portfolios.
