I am building a mobile social network expressly for young users aged 10 – 18. The goal is to preserve the fun of sharing while removing the mechanics that foster endless scrolling and dependency. Think of an Instagram-style interface—photo grids, short videos, text updates—but redesigned around limited session lengths, transparent algorithms, and a constant emphasis on wellbeing.
Content on the platform will include text posts, photos & videos, and curated educational material. To keep the environment healthy and age-appropriate the app must ship with:
• Parental controls that let guardians manage contacts, approve posts, and review activity
• Time-management tools to set daily usage windows and push gentle “take a break” prompts
• Real-time content moderation, blending automated AI filters with an admin dashboard for manual review
I need an end-to-end partner who can:
• Shape the UX and UI so it is intuitive yet intentionally non-addictive
• Build the native iOS and Android apps (or a robust cross-platform equivalent)
• Architect the backend—user auth, media storage, moderation queue, analytics—scalable from day one
• Guide App Store and Google Play submission, privacy policy generation, and age-rating compliance
• Provide QA, security hardening, and hand-off documentation so future updates are seamless
