Project Overview: The Vision
We are building an innovative, enterprise-grade SaaS platform from the ground up on the Google Cloud Platform. The vision is to create an intelligent system that automates complex business workflows through a secure, conversational user interface.

Think of it as a private, role-aware version of ChatGPT for businesses. Instead of just providing information, our AI-powered assistant will execute real-world tasks: running diagnostics, triggering multi-step automations, managing user data, and sending communications, all based on the user's role and permissions (Admin, Partner, Customer, etc.).

We are looking for a foundational developer to be our technical partner in building this ambitious vision into a scalable, secure, and world-class product.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the platform's frontend using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

Build and deploy scalable, secure backend microservices on Google Cloud Run using Node.js.

Design and implement scalable Firestore database schemas for users, roles, and application data.

Integrate the platform with third-party APIs, particularly Google Workspace APIs (Gmail, Calendar).

Implement a robust, role-based access control (RBAC) system across the entire stack, from the UI components to the database security rules.

Collaborate on system architecture to ensure all components are modular, testable, and have clear error-handling and fallback logic.

Work within a GitHub-centric workflow, using branches, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for deployments.

Your First 30-60 Days: The Mission
We believe in clear, achievable milestones. Your initial focus will be on:

Weeks 1-2: Foundation & Auth: Set up the Next.js project structure, integrate Firebase Authentication, and build the core login/logout and user session management flow.

Weeks 3-4: UI Shell & API Bridge: Develop the main application layout and implement the secure API bridge to connect the frontend to our first backend service on Cloud Run.

Weeks 5-8: Core Workflow - Onboarding: Implement the new user registration form and the backend logic to create a corresponding user profile in Firestore upon successful sign-up.

Required Tech Stack & Experience
We are looking for a developer with demonstrated, professional expertise in the following stack.

Layer Technologies
Frontend Next.js, TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS
Backend Node.js (deployed on Google Cloud Run)
Cloud Platform Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Deep, hands-on experience is essential.
Database & Auth Firebase Firestore (NoSQL), Firebase Authentication
Workflow Experience with event-driven architecture (e.g., Pub/Sub, Cloud Workflows) is a plus.
APIs Experience with Google Workspace APIs (Gmail, Calendar) or similar third-party APIs.
DevOps & CI/CD GitHub Actions, Docker.
What Sets You Apart (Bonus Points)
Experience building complex, multi-tenant SaaS platforms from scratch.

A deep understanding of token-based authentication flows (JWT, Google ID Tokens).

Familiarity with Python for scripting or integrating with AI/ML services.

Experience with Vertex AI or other large language model (LLM) APIs.

A passion for building systems with high reliability, observability, and security.
