AI-Powered Job Application & Resume Specialist

- Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, tech-aware professional to manage and optimize an active, high-volume job search process. You will act as the central operator for tracking opportunities, customizing application materials, and leveraging AI to maximize efficiency, ATS compatibility, and interview conversion rates. This role is ideal for someone who understands software development terminology, excels at resume tailoring, and knows how to strategically use AI without sacrificing quality or authenticity.
- Key Responsibilities
Source, filter, and track relevant job openings based on predefined criteria (role type, tech stack, seniority, location, company stage, etc.)
Analyze job descriptions and systematically tailor resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn summaries for each application
Maintain a centralized, up-to-date application tracker (status, deadlines, recruiter contacts, follow-up schedules, interview notes)
Leverage AI tools to draft, optimize, and refine application materials while ensuring technical accuracy, tone consistency, and ATS readiness
Perform rigorous quality control on AI-generated content; edit for impact, clarity, and alignment with actual experience
Coordinate weekly syncs to review targeting strategy, adjust priorities, and prepare for interviews or technical assessments
Stay current on AI resume workflows, ATS parsing trends, and tech hiring best practices
- Required Qualifications
Basic software development knowledge: Familiarity with common tech roles (SWE, DevOps, QA, Frontend/Backend, Data/ML, etc.), programming languages, frameworks, and engineering workflows
Proven resume tailoring experience: Ability to quickly map job requirements to candidate experience and rewrite bullets with measurable impact
Advanced AI tool proficiency: Hands-on experience using LLMs, AI resume builders, prompt engineering, and ATS optimizers to streamline content creation
Strong written communication & attention to detail: Ability to adapt tone, format, and keyword density per job description without losing readability
Highly organized & self-directed: Comfortable managing high-volume, detail-heavy workflows and maintaining strict version control
ATS literacy: Understand how applicant tracking systems parse resumes and how to structure documents for maximum keyword relevance
- Preferred Qualifications
Background in tech recruiting, career coaching, HR, or software development
Basic prompt engineering skills and experience building repeatable AI-assisted workflows
Portfolio or redacted examples of successfully tailored technical resumes
