Oil & Gas AI Product Architect
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
Our AI-driven MVP for the oil & gas sector is ready for its first large-scale deployment, and I now need a seasoned architect to turn the prototype into a production-grade, cloud-native product.
Scope of work
You will own the full technical blueprint on Azure PaaS, weave in a zero-trust cyber-security posture, and establish a lean yet auditable SDLC that relies on automated DevOps and CI/CD. At the same time, you will build and validate high-throughput data extractors for all key industrial systems—CDF, OSI PI Historians, SAP PM/MM, and IP 21 Historian—so the product ingests time-series and transactional data seamlessly.
What I’m specifically looking for
• Around 15 years of overall experience, with a decade or more spent architecting and shipping AI or data-intensive products on Azure.
• Hands-on mastery of ARM/Bicep or Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, container orchestration, and security services (Key Vault, Defender, Sentinel, etc.).
• Practical knowledge of industrial protocols and historians; the faster you can tap into CDF and OSI PI, the better.
• A track record of setting up SDLC processes that survive ISO 27001 or SOC 2 scrutiny.
Key deliverables
1. Cloud architecture document and reference implementation on Azure PaaS
2. End-to-end CI/CD pipeline (infrastructure and application)
3. Cyber-security framework integrated into the deployment model
4. Production-ready extractor services for CDF, OSI PI, SAP PM/MM, and IP 21
5. SDLC handbook covering branching strategy, code review, automated testing, and release management
Acceptance criteria will revolve around performance benchmarks, penetration-test clearance, and successful data pulls from each historian in a staging environment.
If this challenge excites you and your profile aligns with the depth of experience outlined above, I would love to review your approach and previous architecture samples.
