AI Mining Project Intelligence Platform Developer (Airtable + AI + Web Scraping + Front-End Interface)

We are a mining and resources advisory group focused on the global exploration and development sector, particularly ASX, TSXV and CSE-listed companies.
We have already built the initial version of an internal mining project intelligence database in Airtable, containing ~200 tagged exploration and development projects globally. The database has been manually structured and categorised and is now ready to evolve into a fully automated, self expandable, AI-powered intelligence platform.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to help build the next phase of the platform.
Objective
The objective is to create a mining project intelligence system capable of:
• Monitoring public mining news and company announcements
• Scraping and parsing data from industry sources
• Automatically extracting project/company information using AI
• Updating Airtable records automatically
• Creating a searchable front-end user interface
• Supporting advanced prompt-based project searches
Example user searches:
• “Show gold projects in Newfoundland with historic resources between 50koz and 500koz.”
• “List copper projects owned by public companies holding a market cap of under US$50m, currently reviewing their projects for potential sale.”
• “Find Peruvian silver projects with recent resource upgrades in the past 6 months.”
Current Setup
We currently have:
• Airtable starter database table built
• ~200 projects loaded and tagged manually (this will need to be expanded to hold all projects held by public companies)
• Standardised fields and categorisation structure
• Filter views and project classifications completed
• Clear understanding of desired outputs and workflows
Required Scope of Work
1. Web Scraping / Data Collection
Build scraping and monitoring systems for:
• JuniorMiningNetwork.com
• ASX announcements
• TSXV/CSE news releases
• SEDAR+ filings
• Company news pages and investor presentations
System should:
• detect new announcements
• ingest PDFs/news releases
• identify relevant projects/companies
• avoid duplicate entries
2. AI Extraction Layer
Integrate OpenAI/Claude APIs to:
• extract project data from announcements
• summarise technical information
• identify resource estimates
• identify strategic review or transaction commentary, indicating projects are for sale
• classify projects by commodity/stage/location
• flag potential acquisition/divestment opportunities
3. Airtable Automation
Automate:
• creation/updating of project records
• news feed updates
• drill result summaries
• resource estimate updates
• project status tagging
• timestamping/source links
4. Front-End User Interface
Build a clean front-end dashboard/interface allowing:
• project search/filtering
• AI prompt-based search
• saved searches/views
• company/project profiles
• resource filtering
• commodity/jurisdiction filtering
• strategic review/acquisition targeting
Preferred stack is flexible, however experience with:
• Airtable API
• OpenAI API
• Python
• scraping frameworks
• vector databases/RAG systems
• Make.com/Zapier
• React or similar front-end frameworks is highly desirable.
5. Future Expansion
Platform should be built with scalability in mind, including future:
• valuation scoring
• acquisition scoring
• market cap integration
• automated comparable analysis
• broker research integration
• deal pipeline tracking
Important
This is not a generic AI project. Preference will be given to engineers who:
• understand mining/resources workflows
• have experience building intelligence/search platforms
• have experience with structured databases and AI retrieval systems
• can think commercially and architect scalable workflows
