AI Intelligence Layer for Multi Tenant ERP

AI Engineer / AI Agent Architect – ERP Platform (Monolithic Java, MySQL, SaaS)
We are developing a multi-tenant ERP platform currently built as a Java Spring Boot monolithic application with MySQL as the database and Angular as the frontend.
While our long-term roadmap includes migration to microservices, the immediate objective is to safely introduce an AI-powered intelligence layer without disrupting the monolithic ERP core.
Objective of the Role
Design and implement an external AI intelligence layer that integrates with our existing monolithic ERP to provide:
Business analytics and dashboards
Predictive insights and forecasts
Alerts, reminders, and anomaly detection
Conversational ERP intelligence (AI Copilot)
The AI must be ERP-aware, secure, tenant-isolated, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
AI Intelligence & Analytics
Analyze ERP data (sales, purchase, inventory, vendors, BOMs) from MySQL
Build trend analysis, forecasting, and business insights
Design AI-driven alerts and exception detection
Support dashboard and KPI generation
AI Copilot / Conversational Layer
Build an AI assistant that can answer ERP-specific questions such as:
“Find vendors for Item X in Delhi NCR”
“Analyze last 6 months purchase trends”
“Suggest BOM for Product Y”
Ensure responses are:
Role-based
Tenant-aware
Explainable and auditable
Monolith-Compatible Integration
Integrate AI services with:
Java Spring Boot monolithic backend
MySQL (read-only access preferred)
Angular frontend
Design AI as an external service to avoid ERP core coupling
Implement API-based or controlled DB-view-based integration
Architecture & Governance
Design AI architecture that:
Works with a monolithic ERP today
Is ready for microservices in the future
Implement:
Tenant isolation
Access control
Prompt governance
AI audit logs
Mandatory Skills
Strong backend engineering experience
Solid SQL and MySQL expertise
Experience integrating AI with:
Enterprise systems
Monolithic applications
Hands-on experience with:
LLMs (OpenAI / Azure OpenAI / equivalent)
AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or custom)
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and RBAC
Highly Preferred
Prior work on ERP / CRM / SCM / FinTech systems
Experience dealing with:
Legacy or monolithic architectures
Incremental modernization
Knowledge of procurement, inventory, BOMs, and vendor workflows
