Google Maps Business Data Extraction Tool (A Python tool that extracts business data from Google Maps and stores it in a local database)

Work description
Scope (final):
1. Google Maps Scraping (HTML approach) + Google Maps API approach too, at least should be included - i don't want ban.
- Search by category + postcode (UK, US)+ radius
- Extract: competitor name, address, phone, reviews, rating, products, products details including prices, no pictures
2. Delivery Apps Integration
- Primary: Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats
- Secondary: Hungry Panda, Bolt Food (explore what's easiest to scrapeand add it)
- Extract: restaurant, menu items, prices, ratings
- Cross-reference with Google Maps data (mention it in the AI report if necessary)
3. UI + Settings Panel
- Location setup: postcode + radius selector (2-5km)
- Credential Settings: Where I input Google Maps API key, AI API/Token (for AI reports)
- Dashboard: clean competitor overview
4. Report Generation
- CSV & PDF formats
- Each competitor analyzed individually (on the same report, not different reports for a session)
5. AI-Powered Analysis
- Not just raw data — AI interprets what it means, best choice for now is to set a standard maketing analysis, not something special.
- Per competitor: distance, pricing comparison, review sentiment, competitive risks
- Multiple detailed paragraphs per competitor (substantive, not just listings)
- AI generates strategic insights from the data
Technical Requirements:
- Database: local HDD
- All dependencies bundled, no auto-updates
- Stable versions (6-12 months no breaking changes)
- .exe file, Windows (if also MacOS - i'll consider it an extra bonus - my laptop is macbook, and desktop is windows pc)
Timeline: 2 weeks
P.S.1: You will build it so it validates against a unique identifier (device ID, MAC address, something). I need to review the code before final delivery. You will you provide:
1. GitHub private repo access (so I can audit code/dependencies).
2. Final .exe will be scanned for malware (standard practice).
3. Simple NDA confirming you won't maintain access after delivery.
Standard for any software I run locally. Cool with you?
P.S.2: If i'll be happy with results - there is more to add to this app - on a future contract (as you already know the app - you will continue it).
