AI-Generated Server based Invoicing App
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I need a straightforward, server-based invoicing application that I can spin up quickly with the help of an AI code generator (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar). The goal is to create and manage both one-off and recurring invoices, then push them out via email or SMS. Each outgoing message must embed a unique Square payment link that drops the recipient straight into a branded web portal to settle the bill. System, must have an API that I can use to connect from other apps to create customer and add invoice items and send type ( manual or recurring )
Core workflow
• Log in with a simple email-and-password system and/or Google auth (no social or 2FA for now).
- Create a customer contact
• Create or import products, set quantity, apply tax, attach my company logo, hit “Send”.
• Choose manual send or set a recurring schedule.
• Select delivery channel—email by default, SMS when needed
• The customer receives a clean, mobile-friendly invoice with a payment link that opens a hosted payment page styled with my branding.
- If payment link is clicked , then account is notified
-If payment is made, then account is notified. Customer is also notified with a reciept document via email.
Tech expectations
I’m flexible on the hosting stack—Digital Ocean, or a VPS work—as long as deployment is scripted and repeatable. The codebase should be clear, well-commented, and use of AI assistance was leveraged (prompt snippets or generator logs are fine). A lightweight UI framework such as React, Vue, or even a server-rendered template engine is acceptable; pick what speeds up delivery.
Acceptance criteria
1. Running in my cloud account behind HTTPS.
2. Email/SMS messages proved to land (use a sandbox number for SMS). Ability to send a cc to other parties is required.
3. Payment link completes an end-to-end test with a sandbox card.
4. Recurring invoice fires automatically at the scheduled interval.
5. Help menu in app with setup steps, environment variables, and how to extend the product list.
6. Events fired when payment is access, made and when portal is access and sent to account owner email
7. Reciept is sent when payment is made and is compliant to reciept layout
Deploy to server required. Let’s keep the interface elegant and the codebase lean.
