AI-Enhanced Node.js Optimization

I have a Node.js web application that runs well functionally but still leaves plenty of headroom on memory, response time, and scalability. To accelerate the refactor I already rely on AI code-assist tools—GitHub Copilot and similar—which means you will be expected to work comfortably with those suggestions, refine them, and keep the workflow fast.

Your main tasks revolve around deep performance tuning: squeezing memory-heavy modules, trimming latency on critical routes, and hardening the code so it scales cleanly under load spikes. Expect to profile bottlenecks, experiment with algorithms or data structures the AI proposes, and then benchmark each improvement until the numbers prove real-world gains.

Deliverables
• Refactored source files merged into my repo with clear commit messages
• Before/after benchmarks showing memory footprint, median/95th-percentile response times, and max concurrent users sustained in stress tests
• Short write-up (Markdown is fine) explaining which AI-generated suggestions were adopted or revised and why

I’ll provide the current codebase, load-test scripts, and access to the staging server the moment we start.
