Development of AI-Powered App Tool, Cognify
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
We are building Cognify, a next-generation AI-powered app creation tool focused on helping creators turn ideas into fully mapped-out applications through a deep, dynamic Q&A process. Unlike existing tools that rely on templates or auto-generated MVPs, Cognify will intelligently guide users through a tailored session that uncovers every detail of their app — features, design language, layout, animations, color palette, tone, and even future extensions.
We’re looking for a senior full-stack developer to bring this vision to life. The platform will consist of a dynamic chat interface powered by OpenAI (GPT-4 or GPT-4-turbo), paired with a live output panel where the AI-generated app plan is displayed. The frontend will be minimal, desktop-first, and designed with a futuristic but clean visual style. The backend will need to handle authentication, user sessions, and saved project data.
This is not a drag-and-drop app builder. The platform is primarily conversational, focused on intelligent AI interaction and high-end presentation. Users will interact with an AI assistant that progressively learns about their app idea and reflects it through structured outputs.
You will be responsible for:
Building the full frontend using Next.js and Tailwind CSS, including responsive layout and minimal but clean animations
Implementing a dynamic chat interface with OpenAI GPT integration
Managing real-time response handling and output formatting (rendering app summaries, feature lists, color suggestions, etc.)
Creating and connecting the backend using Supabase (auth, data storage, user session tracking)
Handling project creation, saving, retrieval, and editing flows
Ensuring a high standard of design implementation, transition effects, and responsiveness
Deploying the final working version to Vercel (or another comparable hosting platform)
Providing clean, scalable code and version control via GitHub
You must have:
Extensive experience with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS
Experience with OpenAI's API and prompt structuring
Working knowledge of Supabase or Firebase-like backends
Experience building full-stack products end-to-end
High attention to UX and detail — we are building something clean, smart, and user-friendly
Bonus if you have:
Experience with Framer Motion or GSAP for smooth animations and transitions
Experience working on AI-based tools or builder platforms
Strong product thinking and ability to suggest technical or UX improvements
This is a fixed-scope contract. We will provide all product logic, prompt design examples, visual references, and structural flow to work from. You are expected to collaborate closely to ensure the execution matches the vision.
Our target timeline is 6 to 8 weeks for a fully functional, polished platform — not a prototype, but a usable and visually impressive product we can confidently launch. although it may take a while it is a very simple concept
We are looking for someone who understands the nuance of execution — not just making something that works, but something that feels premium.
the complete product should be a copy of base 44 with a different style and the advanced feature i mentioned
