AI Developer – Receipt Scanning & Backend API (NDA Required)
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m looking for a skilled AI/backend developer to join a confidential software project.
The task involves developing an OCR-based backend system capable of extracting specific fields from retail receipts and returning the data via an API.
The scope includes:
Building a Python-based backend (Flask or FastAPI)
Implementing OCR or ML models to read real-world receipt images (variable formats)
Extracting structured data (dates, reference codes, totals, etc.)
Creating REST API endpoints for a mobile app
Please note: Due to the sensitivity of this project, selected freelancers must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before any further business details are shared.
Ideal candidates have:
Experience with OCR tools (Tesseract, Google Vision, PaddleOCR, etc.)
Strong Python development background
API development experience
Spanish language understanding (helpful)
