Chemistry Expert (PhD) – Remote (Hourly Contract)
Role Overview
We are looking for experienced Chemistry professionals to contribute to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems.
This is a paid trial opportunity where you will create and assess high-quality chemistry problems across various subdomains, helping train and refine AI models.
Key Responsibilities
Create and assess complex problems in chemistry across subdomains: organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and biochemistry
Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, chemical reasoning, and domain relevance
Provide clear written feedback on problem sets, mechanisms, and solutions
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to improve model performance
Ensure academic rigor and scientific precision in all chemistry content used to train or evaluate AI systems
Ideal Qualifications
PhD in Chemistry or a directly related field from a top university
Undergraduate degree completed in the U.S., UK, Canada, or Europe preferred
Deep subject-matter expertise across core areas of chemistry
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Prior teaching, research, or publication experience is a plus
Project Details
Paid trial: 3-hour assessment to evaluate your ability to interpret project guidelines and deliver chemistry-specific output
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 1–2 months
Part-time: ~20 hours/week (potential to extend up to 40 hours/week)
Fully remote and asynchronous — flexible working hours
Competitive hourly rate: $65–$85 USD/hour
