JOB TITLE : AI and Backend Engineer – for HR Tech SaaS Platform (Job Matching /Archetype Engine.
About the Project:
We are building a next-generation HR Tech platform that merges AI career matching, psychometric archetypes, and personalized coaching.
Our goal is to help users find careers aligned with who they truly are — through intelligent data, psychology, and design.
You’ll be responsible for creating the core backend and AI systems that make this vision possible.
Database Integration
• Work with a large public dataset (tens of millions of text entries).
• I’ll provide the source, schema, and API access at project start.
• Implement automated pipelines to harvest, deduplicate, normalize, and store data in a scalable system (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or OpenSearch).
• Maintain low-latency querying and indexing for real-time inference.
• Design for data growth and modular scalability.
AI Requirements
• Use an existing public database of job listings or job categorizations as a base.
• Build an AI model in Python (PyTorch) to power accurate job matching and recommendation.
• Wrap it in a secure API with stateless endpoints for real-time predictions.
• Set up batch training and retraining pipelines triggered automatically when new data lands — ensuring zero downtime.
• Implement monitoring, version control, and continuous improvement workflows.
Deliverables & Acceptance Criteria
1. Source-controlled codebase (GitHub or GitLab) with README and full environment configuration.
2. Deployed staging environment showing end-to-end flow:
Sign-up → Payment → Dashboard → AI recommendation.
3. Automated tests for authentication, billing, and at least one complete AI inference path.
4. Documentation covering retraining, scaling, and deployment.
5. Security compliance: GDPR-ready data handling preferred.

• Clearly defined milestones, timelines, and stack agreement before kickoff.
Required Skills
• Python (FastAPI, PyTorch, Pandas, Scikit-Learn)

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of vector databases / embeddings / NLP
• Experience in building scalable API services
Nice to Have
• Background in HR Tech, talent platforms, or psychometric analysis
• Familiarity with career-matching algorithms or recommendation systems
• Frontend experience (React / Next.js) for simple prototype dashboards
