Automated Amazon EU Opportunity Finder
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We are looking for an experienced developer or small team to build a custom product research system focused on Amazon.
The goal is to identify new products that are selling well on Amazon USA but are NOT yet listed on Amazon Europe, in order to gain first-mover advantage in the EU market.
This project is currently done manually, and we want to automate and scale it with high accuracy, while minimizing blocking and captcha risks.
Project Objective
Build a system that:
Monitors Amazon USA Best Sellers and New Arrivals
Identifies products with strong sales but low review count
Confirms the product does not exist in Amazon EU marketplaces:
Germany (DE)
Italy (IT)
France (FR)
Spain (ES)
United Kingdom (UK)
Presents results in a clean dashboard for daily use
Product Criteria (Must Be Enforced)
Only products that meet ALL criteria should be included:
Listed and selling on Amazon USA
Appears in Best Sellers or New Arrivals
≤ 300 reviews
≥ 700 estimated monthly sales
Minimum EU selling price: €10
Excluded product types:
Clothing / apparel
Creams, cosmetics, liquids
Large or bulky products
Products with batteries
Regulated or complex products
Only small, simple, easy-to-ship products
Core Functional Requirements
Daily scan of Amazon USA:
Best Sellers
New Arrivals
All categories and subcategories
Filter products based on the criteria above
Cross-check each product against all 5 EU marketplaces
If found in any EU marketplace → discard
If not found in all EU marketplaces → keep as opportunity
Store results in a database
Display results in a web dashboard
AI-Based Matching (Very Important)
Simple title matching is not sufficient.
The system must use AI-assisted analysis to confirm whether a product exists in Europe, including:
Image similarity comparison
Semantic keyword and title analysis
Brand, attributes, and variation matching
Detection of the same product listed under different titles or languages
High accuracy is critical to reduce false positives and false negatives.
Anti-Captcha & Reliability Requirements
Amazon anti-bot and captcha protections are expected
The system must be designed to minimize blocking risk
Temporary captchas, timeouts, or partial failures must be handled gracefully
Failed or incomplete data must be reprocessed automatically
Results should not be lost due to temporary issues
Focus on long-term stability, not one-time scraping
Technical Approach (Preferred)
A hybrid approach is required:
API usage for stable and structured data
Bot / AI scraping for missing or unavailable data
Combination of both for:
Higher accuracy
Faster data collection
Lower detection risk
Reliable daily monitoring across all marketplaces
Scraping-only or API-only solutions are not sufficient.
Dashboard Requirements
The dashboard must show:
Product name
Category and subcategory
USA price
Review count
Estimated monthly sales
Clear indicator: Not listed in Amazon Europe
Confidence level of EU validation
Direct link to Amazon USA listing
Ability to review, validate, or discard products
Deployment & Usage
Cloud-ready deployment
Mac-compatible access
Scalable to large datasets
Clean and polished UI preferred
Who We Are Looking For
Proven experience with:
Amazon data (USA + EU)
Web scraping at scale
Anti-captcha / anti-blocking strategies
AI-based image or text similarity
Ability to think in business logic, not just code
Preference for senior freelancers or small expert teams
Clear communication and structured delivery
To Apply, Please Include
Relevant experience with Amazon-related projects
Similar scraping or data analysis systems you’ve built
Your proposed high-level approach (no need for deep technical details)
Estimated timeline and budget range
Any risks or limitations you foresee
