AI-Powered Interior Design Platform Development
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
About Deck’d
Deck’d is an AI-powered design platform that lets anyone visualize and bring to life their dream spaces.
Users upload a photo of their space (like a bedroom, dorm, or office), describe what they want, or attach Pinterest boards and inspiration images — then Deck’d’s AI redesigns that same space into realistic visuals with shoppable products and a done-for-you service option.
Think Canva meets AI interior design, built for real people, creators, and professionals.
We’re building the MVP, not a prototype. It should be functional, beautiful, and fast enough to prove the concept in the real world.
Scope of Work - MVP Goals
You’ll work closely with our UI/UX designer (already onboard) to bring the full experience to life.
The MVP should let users:
Upload & Describe Spaces
Upload room photos.
Add a short prompt (e.g., “make this cozy and modern”).
Optionally paste Pinterest board link or upload inspiration photos.
Conversational Flow
Light, chat-style prompts to guide users:
“Want to keep existing furniture or start fresh?”
“Any colors or vibes you love?”
Keep it friendly and intuitive — not technical.
AI Design Generation (2D)
Generate 2–3 realistic redesigns using AI (Stable Diffusion XL / Flux / Replicate API / HuggingFace).
Maintain room structure and geometry — image-to-image transformation.
Return variations labeled by style (“Modern Minimalist,” “Boho Chic,” etc.).
Render Display & Actions
Display AI results in a clean, responsive gallery.
Allow user to:
Toggle between renders
Click items for product suggestions (static affiliate list)
Regenerate or refine (quick tweaks like “brighter,” “add plants”)
Save and share their design.
Manual Service Option (temporary)
When user clicks “Have Deck’d handle it,” the system sends a service request to our admin dashboard.
User sees confirmation (“We’ll reach out soon to source and quote everything for you.”).
No automation yet — this will be handled manually by our team.
Account & History System
Basic user login (Firebase / Supabase).
Save past designs, prompts, and render history.
Internal Admin Dashboard (Backend Side)
We’ll also need a basic internal dashboard (Retool / Appsmith or lightweight React build):
View users, prompts, and render history.
Track each render’s cost and status (for GPU tracking).
Manage all “Deck’d handles it” requests.
Mark service requests as contacted or completed.
Manually upload quotes or files.
Manage affiliate product list (static CSV or database).
Basic analytics (users, renders, clicks, requests).
Send notifications (Slack or email) for new service requests.
Core Stack (Flexible Based on Your Strength)
Frontend:
React + Next.js
TailwindCSS or Chakra
Framer Motion / Lottie for animations
Backend:
Node.js or FastAPI
Supabase / Firebase (auth + DB)
AWS S3 or Cloudinary for image storage
Stripe (future integration, not immediate)
AI:
Stability AI / Replicate / Flux (image-to-image generation)
ControlNet for structure retention
Optional: LangChain for light conversational flow
Admin:
Retool / Appsmith for internal ops
Mixpanel / PostHog for analytics
