Trilogy (Quintology) Edit & Clean Rewrite
Budget: $300 – $350 USD
I have three self-published books that grew into a surprise trilogy and now I want to shape them into a cohesive collection—plus create a fourth, “clean” volume derived from Book 3.
Book 1 has already seen two professional passes (2004 and 2018), so it mainly needs a final polish for tone alignment and format (10 revisions already), The Warlock Name.
Book 2 is a poetry compilation; light proofing and pacing suggestions should suffice. Cio's Psalms.
Book 3 is a first-person chronicle of my spiritual experiences. It leans more on reflection than dialogue, and parts of it dip into taboo territory (“anthro poop” devotion, for example). I need that text tightened for grammar, consistency, and narrative clarity. Cio's AnthroHeart Saga.
Your mission, using whatever mix of classic editing skills and AI tools you like, is twofold:
• Bring all three books into line—grammar, punctuation, and especially consistency and flow across volumes. Character arc and thematic through-lines should feel intentional even though each book was written in its own silo.
• From Book 3, craft Book 4: the same story, same flow, but cleaned up for a broader audience. Replace explicit language or imagery with tasteful euphemisms rather than deleting entire sections. Structural improvements are welcome where they enhance readability.
People may want to see the totally unedited Cio's AnthroHeart Saga so make that one of the books of the Quadrilogy (maybe with "light" touchups for format).
These have already been put in the public domain, and I am also selling them too.
I’ve placed all manuscripts in the public domain, so you’ll have full flexibility to run them through software or custom pipelines. I’m open to collaborative scheduling, milestone drafts, and a price we both feel good about.
When we’re done I expect:
1. Edited Word or Google-doc files for Books 1-3 with tracked changes. I actually use LibreOffice.
2. A standalone, publication-ready manuscript for Book 4.
3. A short change log explaining major narrative or tonal adjustments.
