Engaging Video Editor for GEN Checkup

We are looking for a creative and experienced Video Editor to support our brand GEN Checkup, a Germany-based health, wellness, and genetic testing brand focused on personalized health and DNA-based insights.
Our content is educational, engaging, and social-media driven, helping people better understand their health, supplements, and genetics.
What We Are Looking For
We need a Video Editor with strong storytelling and AI-content editing skills who can create both:
Short-form social media videos
(Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok-style edits)
Long-form YouTube videos
with engaging pacing, storytelling, and audience retention techniques.
Important
GEN Checkup is a German brand, so most of the videos will be in German language.
You do not necessarily need to speak fluent German, but experience editing German-speaking content and working with subtitles, pacing, and social-media style edits is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Edit engaging short-form and long-form videos
Use AI tools to improve editing workflow, visuals, voice, captions, or automation
Add creative storytelling, transitions, and platform-specific editing styles
Contribute ideas for content formats and trending concepts
Optimize videos for engagement and retention
Collaborate with our team and work independently while meeting deadlines
Preferred Skills
Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects / Final Cut or similar
AI editing tools and workflow experience
Social media trend awareness
Motion graphics and animation (bonus)
YouTube thumbnail design (bonus)
