AI Website Messenger Automation Pipeline

I’m rolling out a brand-new, web-based messenger where users can chat one-on-one in real time, and I want an AI-driven automation pipeline woven straight into its core. The site itself should be lightweight, responsive and handle secure, user-to-user messaging—think WebSockets or a similar real-time transport backed by a clean database layer.

Your main focus, though, is the automation engine. I need scripts or micro-services (Python, Node.js or whatever stack you prefer) that can listen to events, trigger intelligent replies, route messages, or even escalate to human support when an AI confidence threshold drops. The pipeline should plug neatly into the chat backend via API so I’m free to extend skills or models later.

Deliverables
• Functional messenger website supporting direct user-to-user chat
• AI automation pipeline connected to the chat events (send, receive, idle, etc.)
• Clear setup instructions and concise documentation of endpoints, models and config options

Acceptance criteria
• Messages delivered in under one second under normal load
• Automated responses generated within two seconds for standard prompts
• Code is clearly commented and easy to deploy on a fresh VPS
